Allegiant production began last week on May 20th. Originally we thought filming began on May 18th, but thanks to a statement sent to the fansites by Lionsgate, Allegiant Part 1 Production began on the 20th. On recent news by one of our amazing friends IzzyGirl76 on Instagram, filming is making its way to Lindale Mill in a small town in Georgia. Original source from North West Georgia News, it is stated that filming will take place on the dates of June 11-23 renting at the Gilbreath Recreation Center.
The center will be used as a staging area for catering and other production activities, according to Hampson. The sci-fi adventure began filming in Atlanta last week and is set to be released next March.
Having a major production like “Allegiant” come to the Floyd County community is part of a natural progression, according to Hortman.
The Allegiant production crew will be using using private production areas in Atlanta due to other movies also taking place at the same time as Allegiant filming.
